Can you wear a Watch in the IELTS test?

by Blessing

Please I want to find out why they don't allow wrist watches during the exams.

It was so hard I couldn't keep track of time during my writing tasks. I was so distracted when I heard 5 mins more.

It really affected my grade, 6.0. Had 7.0 in the others.

Wearing a watch in the IELTS Exam
by: IELTS buddy

You usually can't take a watch into the IELTS Test.

The reason for this will be that many watches are quite sophisticated these days, with some that you can use to take pictures and record.

So it is possible it could be used to cheat in the test or copy materials.

There will always be a clock on the wall though so you should use this to keep an eye on the time.
