Fewer Languages Essay
by sweta mishta
Every year several languages die out. Some people think that this is not important because life will be easier if there are fewer languages in the world.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
It has seen that various languages extinct every year. Some people reckon this is not relevant to have more styles of speaking because it can be a reason for making people life harder. They also believe that having fewer language in the world make their lives easier. However, in my opinion, language plays a vital role to showcase nations culture. I'm afraid I can't agree with this statement.
Firstly, the native languages are the eyes of the nation's culture. The ancient words depict the struggle and origin of such people who devoted their lives for standing up these languages, and if there local mean of communication dies, their battle will follow the death.
Another constraint would be, people from different countries may feel that they are ruled by a particular country, and that may develop the feeling of rage amongst the people of other reason.
Furthermore, people may feel various difficulties in learning a new language if they are grown up with their local language; it was seen that people feel incredibly confident if they are talking in their language. They can express their feeling more clearly and cohesively. If there are only a few languages, they may feel nostalgic and not able to correctly speak until they learn it in depth. However, people nowadays learning new foreign languages in searching for more ways of communicating people and better employment options but they have their own identity which depends on their way of speaking and the language they use.
Thus, having fewer styles will make one's life harder if one grown up with their local language and can not communicate wisely.
