IELTS Letter - Holiday Advice to Friend

An English-speaking friend wants to spend a two-week holiday in your region and has written asking for information and advice.

Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:

- offer to find somewhere to stay
- give advice about what to do
- give information about what clothes to bring

Dear Amy,

Thank you for your letter asking for my advice about what you should do now during the two-week holiday.

If you want to find somewhere to stay, I would strongly recommend that you stay at my house. Many rooms in my house, you would find your complete privacy during you stay here. My parents would also be glad to see you. In case you prefer to stay at hotel, that would not be a problem as there are a few nice hotels I can book for you in nearest.

There are numerous places of interest that I want to suggest to you. You could visit Son La museum, which is a former prison. Many visitors are tempted by preserved revolutionary remains and exhibits of precious objects. Then, you could try to enjoy a variety of foods near the museum that are delicious like fermented buffalo skin. It is the best choice for tourists.

You asked me about what clothes to bring. I would advise you to bring some T-shirts, jeans and shorts mostly because the summer temperature is quite high and almost hot at that time. Moreover, it would be a good idea to bring an umbrella or raincoat if it is raining.
