Closing of Community Field

The council has written to residents informing them of its intent to close a local community field.

Write a letter informing them of:

- its benefits to the community
- the reasons it should not be closed
- how to increase its usage.

Dear Sir or Madam,

We received a letter informing of us of your intention to close the local football field in our community because not many people use it. This is so because it is quite far from the houses and it is secluded from us.

The football field is important to us as it has a lot of benefits to residents. It helps us interact among ourselves when we take our children to play soccer as Parents get to meet parents of our team mates and opponents. The matches are also a source of networking in our environment. It also promotes our overall well-being as the field is a good place to exercise.

Due to the global pandemic, only a limited number of persons are allowed into the gym, so our gym instructor takes us to the field to perform our aerobics.

One way to encourage its usage is to create membership card for the area. Have a mini fence at the field and put persons there on shift basis that would award points to residents that use the field. At the end if your year, gifts like a movie ticket or train tickets are given to winners.

This would bring about competition and increase its usage.
