Answer to the reading test question
by: Rishu Wadhwa

I recently appeared for the ielts exam.while preparing for the reading section i came to the conclusion that in reading we dont need to look back to the same text again and again because the very question has a answer in sequential order. This is my personal experience,However you should try some reading passages on your own.I would share some tips in my blog that how to prepare for every section of the ielts exam.

what i mean is that if there is a question like asking about a name or date that i don't remember, can i read the passage again to look for its answer?

Yes of course you can look back to the question paper to find the answer as many time you want. But you need to take care of the time because you will be given only one hour for the reading section.

Listening
by: Rishu Wadhwa

I would suggest that before actually trying for listening test. You should start watching some English videos. The best thing for practice is start watching English movies. It might be that you would not start understanding it initially. But later on, you will start recognizing the English words. Make sure if you start listening any English videos use headphones.

one more advice
by: uk

i need one more advice if anyone could help me.
i was wondering if while answering fill in blank questions i write 2 words in my answer(including correct word) while answer sheet writes only one word will my answer be counted as correct?
e.g: in one question i wrote answer "secondary school" while answer sheet writes only "secondary" will my answer be counted right or wrong?

thanks

look at the text repeatedly
by: IELTS buddy

Hi,

In that case it will probably be wrong.

If they are looking for the word 'secondary' only then school has probably already been mentioned in the question.

However, I would need to see the exact question and text it refers to to be sure.
